Bicycle Trails
  • Stavich Bicycle Trail New Castle, PA 16101 | phone: 724-652-3434 The trail runs from New Castle – in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania – through Lowellville, and ends at Struthers, Ohio. To get to the eastern end of the trail: Take Rt. 422 west out of New Castle, to west 224. Turn left onto Covert Road 0.9 miles after the intersection of 422 and 224. Follow Covert Road south for 1.3 miles. Trailhead is along the road, on the right. From Ohio Take Rt. 224 west to Poland, Ohio. Turn right onto Rt. 616 and follow it across the Mahoning River. Just after the river, turn right onto Broad Street. Trailhead is on the right in about a mile. 6/24/09 Presently closed for repairs

  • Lawrence County Cycle Club- The LCCC is a group of area cyclists dedicated to the advancement of cycling throughout the Greater Allegheny Region. Our purpose is to provide cycling advocacy through education, and training. We are a non-profit organization funded solely by our members. Everyone interested in joining the club rides may attend our meetings. Cyclist of all ages and experience levels are invited.   • Tour de La Mec, August 16 2009 The Lawrence County Cycling Club organizes an annual bike tour of Lawrence and Mercer Counties. The tour offers riding distances of 25 to 100 miles for all levels of riders. The tour travels rural scenic country roads of Lawrence and Mercer Counties.   • Pedal the Lake, Within a ninety minute drive from Erie, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, find a full-service tour in the beautiful Western Pennsylvania Amish countryside featuring several lakes. Four route lengths (12, 32, 65 & 100 miles) will be offered. Hot food, snacks, drinks, map and SAG service will be provided. All bikes should be in good working condition. Please remember to bring tubes, patches, tools, pump, etc. Helmet required to ride. Proceeds benefit Mercer County Trails Association, Inc. which is establishing multi-use recreational trails in the Mercer County, PA area.
