Rain or shine!

Sunday, September 23th | Marti Park | New Wilmington, Pennsylvania

Designed by cyclists for cyclists.

When was the last time you cycled the beautiful, low traffic, roads of Amish Country? The Tour de LA MEC provides the perfect opportunity to experience the history and charm of this lovely valley.

Ride options this year are 25, 50, 75 and 100 miles in 25 mile loops. Ride 1 loop or 2, or 3 or even 4 for a century. The 25 mile loop will showcase the fabulous scenery in the area as they roll through Pennsylvania Amish farms, past historic buildings and over stone bridges.

In addition to the rest stops and lunch:

  • In addition to a route guide (cue sheet) and route marking arrows all along the way. On-call sag wagons will fan out from Marti Park if there is a need. While we expect riders to handle their own small mechanical corrections (tune-ups, flat tires, etc.) Bicycles and More in New Castle is prepared to assist with the real breakdowns or bring them back to Marti Park. There is a fine 911 service in both counties.
  • Routes are clearly marked.
  • Hot food after tour ride.
  • Easy to follow cue sheets that were designed by experienced cyclists who live and ride in Lawrence and Mercer Counties everyday and have picked the very best roads
  • There will be periodic route sweeps to aid cyclists.

Check-in starts at  -  7:00 AM
Riders may leave anytime between 7:00am and 9:00am.

For your safety we are recommending that no children under 12 years of age be taken on any of the routes. Likewise, we suggest that no bike trailers or child seats be taken on the tour. However no such restriction has been implied at the time of publication of this web page.
